I decided to join Greek life and become a member of Alpha Delta Pi, where I spent a lot of my time volunteering/raising money for our philanthropy, Ronald McDonald House Charities. My Junior year I was voted to be Recruitment and Marketing Vice President of my sorority
Alpha Delta Pi Sorority
In order to be more involved on campus, I joined Alpha Delta Pi at UT Martin. Throughout my 4 years as a member, I was able to spend time raising money for our philanthropy, Ronald McDonald House Charities. I was also able to utilize my marketing skills when I was elected Recruitment and Marketing Vice President for the 2017 year. This gave me the opportunity to acquire leadership and organizational skills. As RMVP, I was solely in charge of Spring Recruitment, Spring Bid Day, and Fall Bid Day. I managed and oversaw the Philanthropy Chair, Community Service Chair, Formal Recruitment Chair, and PR/Social Media Chair. I worked with each chair to ensure that we were all successful in our tasks.
I will always go into a position with a point to make it better than how I found it. I successfully achieved the following goals as 2017 RMVP:
-Doubled the amount of chapter photo shoots
-Tripled the amount of PR tables in the main lobby
-Increased our Recruitment Impressions Score
-Organized the creation of our first professional recruitment video
-Created a noteworthy chapter website

Alpha Delta Pi Recruitment
Sorority recruitment is a year-round effort, including planning and strategy, hosting value-based recruitment events, voting and placing bids, and promoting ongoing member education.
Rush week itself is a short period of time, but it’s only one part of the bigger picture.
I worked with the Recruitment Chair to organize Formal Recruitment, which included 3 days of organized mingling with timed rotation groups. We used strategic planning to form groups of similar members and held multiple recruitment workshops.

Alpha Delta Pi Bid Day
Bid Day is a huge event in which sororities celebrate their new members. As RMVP, I was completely in charge of making sure the day was perfect. I helped set the budget, picked out a theme (Greek), chose a location, selected food and decor that was in line with the theme, and made sure the event flowed seamlessly throughout the day and evening.

Alpha Delta Pi PR
Being in a sorority entails year-round branding and recruitment. One of my favorite duties in my position was creating multiple plans for PR tables to have in our school's main hall. A few noteworthy ideas included: having members personally pass out candy on Valentine's Day (with love from the A D sweetie Pi's of course), having members write multiple heartfelt notes of encouragement to the student body during Suicide Awareness Week, and making an ADPi school themed banner that students could get their polaroid photo taken in front of during the first week of class.
I aspired to make sure ADPi stood out among the other sororities and kept a good branding image, even if that meant passing out green buttons on St. Patrick's Day to students who forgot!

Alpha Delta Pi Philanthropy
ADPi is committed to serving Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). I co-organized multiple philanthropy events with our Philanthropy Chair, such as a pie sale, a detergent packing event for the families staying at RMH, can tab wars, as well as planning our Chili Dinner/Cook-Off event. We also organized a 5k run benefiting RMHC at a local interactive museum.
